These are some of the events and activities that HIMELE produces, sponsors, or collaborates with others to present.

THE KAUA'I STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Kaua'i Steel Guitar Festival
The third annual Kaua'i Steel Guitar Festival is scheduled for February 2nd and 3rd, 2018, at the Courtyard Marriott Kaua'i at Coconut Beach. The dates are pending announcement and confirmation of the 2018 Keola Beamer Aloha Music Camp. The event will take place immediately preceding Keola Beamer's Aloha Music Camp and provides AMC participants an opportunity to extend their Hawaiian music experience. HIMELE is partnering with Courtyard Marriott Kaua'i at Coconut Beach to produce the festival which is supported in part by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
 

THE HAWAIIAN STEEL GUITAR CAMP

Hawaiian Steel Guitar Camp
 
The Hawaiian Steel Guitar Camp provides intensive training on the Hawaiian steel guitar. Workshops span multiple days immediately preceding the Maui Steel Guitar Festival, providing an opportunity for festival guests to first learn about and how to play the Hawaiian steel guitar before enjoying the festival. The camp is produced in collaboration with Arts Education for Children Group and the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. The 2017 year's camp will be held on April 26-27, 2017, immediately preceding the Maui Steel Guitar Festival.
 

THE MAUI STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Maui Steel Guitar Festival
The Maui Steel Guitar Festival is produced in collaboration with Arts Education for Children Group and the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. The 9th Annual festival will be held on April 28-30, 2017, at the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel, and is supported in part by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. The festival will also incorporate Sunday afternoon performances at Kahului's Queen Ka'ahamanau Center.
 

THE HAWAIIAN STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

The Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival is a series of steel guitar festivals presented at community-centric venues and are focused towards local audiences. Currently the series comprises two separate community venues: The Windward Mall in Kaneohe and Ka Makana Ali'i in Kapolei on Oahu's West side.

Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival at Windward Mall
The 2nd Annual Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival at Windward Mall will be held at the Windward Mall in Kane'ohe, Oah'u, on Sunday, June 11, 2017.

Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival at Ka Makana Ali'i
The 1st Annual Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival at Ka Makana Ali'i will be held at Ka Makana Ali'i in Kapolei on Oah'u's West side on March 18, 2017.

THE WAIKIKI STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Waikiki Steel Guitar Festival
The Royal Hawaiian Center and HIMELE will present the 8th Annual Waikiki Steel Guitar Festival at the Royal Hawaiian Center's Royal Grove on July 14-15, 2017.
 

THE HAWAII STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Hawaii Steel Guitar Festival
The first annual Hawaii Steel Guitar Festival will be held on November 10-12, 2017, at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows, Kohala Coast, Hawaii. The festival will be presented by the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows and HIMELE and is supported in part by the Hawaii Tourism Authority. This festival was previously known as the "Kona Steel Guitar Festival."
 

THE HILO STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Hilo Steel Guitar Festival
Originally planned as a single-day event for the island of Hawaii's Hilo area, the Hilo Steel Guitar Festival is incorporated into the Hawaii Steel Guitar Festival for a single festival for the island of Hawaii.
 

MAUI MAHALO

Maui Mahalo
 
The Maui Mahalo event is a fundraising event for the Maui Steel Guitar Festival and a gala honoring a person who has made a difference in Hawaiian music and culture. Held on the night immediately preceding the Maui Steel Guitar Festival, Maui Mahalo is also produced in collaboration with Arts Education for Children Group and the Ka'anapali Beach Hotel.

THE JAPAN STEEL GUITAR FESTIVAL

Kona Steel Guitar Festival
HIMELE is working with its Tokyo, Japan, partners to coproduce a Japan Steel Guitar Festival.
